Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching 2024-2025 Award Cycle – Nominations/Applications Now Open
New York State is seeking nominations/applications for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) 2024-2025 award cycle. ÌýThese awards are the highest honors bestowed by the United States government to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM, including Computer Science) teachers.ÌýPrincipals, teachers, parents, students, or members of the general public may exceptional STEM teachers in grades 7-12 for the 2024-2025 award year. Teachers may also initiate the application process themselves. Once a teacher is nominated or initiates an application, they will receive an email invitation to begin the application process. Ìý
The application deadline is February 6, 2025, for STEM teachers in grades 7-12. Nominations for K-6 grade STEM teachers will be accepted in the fall of 2025.Ìý
